Informative article. I’ve preferred light roast for the past few years. Even so, it’s hard to know what you’re actually getting in terms of bean quality. And a few times, I’ve had my grinder get gunked up from all the oil in a supposed light roast.
Other comments here note how tastes differ. Additionally, dark roasts are perfectly sensible, preferable to many, when adding milk or cream. Whether cappuccino or any of the umpteen concoctions sold at Starbucks.
