Ansari’s World of Distractions
Garreth Dottin

Hats off to Ansari for protecting his mind and its ability to wander and think creatively.

Being constantly plugged in creates a constant state of anxiety. A steady hum, if you will. It feeds it just as sugar feeds the growth of a tumor in lab mice.

On a similar note, I just finished reading Daniel J. Levitin’s book THE ORGANIZED MIND: THINKING STRAIGHT IN THE AGE OF INFORMATION OVERLOAD. It gets into the nitty gritty of neuroscience and is a fantastic read.

I'm staring at the spine of Daniel Goleman’s FOCUS as I type this. It’s next on my to-read list.
