The Doing of the Thing

Sometimes the important thing isn’t the thing we do, but instead the doing of the thing we do.

In doing the thing, we become better at doing.

So, the next time a thing needs being done, we’re better able to do it — even if the first thing was no good.

This means that sometimes we must do a thing even while knowing the thing will ultimately be nothing.
