I have the exact same problem with owning a TV! I watch TV on Netflix every day, often twice a day, but I can’t stand the way most living rooms are designed around a single TV screen with every piece of furniture angled so you can see a TV. I do, however, sometimes think I should buy a small one and mount it on a wall in the kitchen. Watching the iPad while cooking is a frustrating experience, and I doubt I’ll suffer if I end up cooking fresh food more than I intended as an excuse to watch TV…
