If Harambe could send a message from beyond the grave, and if he did have the ability (which you’ve given him here) to read the news, I suspect he’d have more to say about the ongoing human extermination of his kind in their native habitat than about himself. If people were as worried about dead gorillas in the wild as in the Cincinnati zoo, maybe we’d have less need for a backup zoo population to keep the species from the verge of extinction. Harambe might also want to say something about funding Ebola research, if he knew that the Ebola virus is capable of wiping out entire gorilla populations.
