The death of Wales?

An interesting and thoughtful post I thought – and nothing there to “annoy” me for one! I do think you’ve underestimated the potential impact on Wales of Brexit – economically and politically. One outcome of Brexit was to unleash a specifically English nationalism – very different from Scottish or Welsh nationalisms, and nostalgic/regressive at best in its idea of ‘Britain’; I fear neither the Welsh nor the Scots are set to fare well – and this may yet provoke similar constitutional crises for Britain to that of the evolving settlement with Scotland. I still think Wales as a distinct and devolved ‘region’/’principality’/or even ‘nation’ would have been better served within a larger region (Europe) than opting to Brexit with England on which it will inevitably be more dependent – and I suspect treated with greater irrelevance.
