WHAT IF?

The predicament of the North East and the country at large towards gender inequality and the level of insurgency would leave one saying a lot of ‘what if’s’

What if the government of Nigeria puts more efforts, flex its muscles harder and work on how to ensure maximum security and enlightenment on girl child education? what if they didn’t give into corruption and remained true? what if everyone shun biasness and religious sentiments and embrace unity, peace and progress.

Gender inequality is one factor that must not be overlooked and thrown into the trash. Gender equality is important and women’s right must be emphasized. What if women were not looked upon as inferior to men? What if women were not denied their rights? What if the girl child education was on the priority top list? What if every girl child goes to school? you could possibly imagine the level of growth and development that’s going to take over this country.

It’s really true about this saying “educate a woman and you’ll educate a nation”. it may seem somewhat vague but looking at the ability of women in the area of impacting words of wisdom to their children and influencing them positively is a sure way to say that if women were given the power to do so in their offices and official gatherings, one can be sure that they’ll ace and perform excellently. it is high time we say no to gender inequality and say yes to gender and social inclusion . It’s time we let women reach their full potential and get involved in healthy competitions that will uplift their self esteem and self realization which will in turn lead to obvious and predictable development and growth of the country in the future to come.

In conformity to the popular saying “there is light at the end of the tunnel” and “there’s a rainbow at the end of the rainstorm” then we can also say that hope is not lost and there is room for improvement as well as change.
