Why I owned a Macbook Pro for a day — and what it says to me about the future of Apple

I have one of these 2016 macbook pros too. I hate the damn thing. I too have been through woe with Apple support which meant I had no laptop for over a month.

They eventually fixed the major issue but just talked past me at any mention of the keyboard not consistently working. It is so frustrating when a key becomes spongy for no obvious reason when the laptop is warm.

And like you I feel trapped: can’t stand windows, don’t want to spend the time configuring desktop Linux as I did as a younger man. Right now though, unless Apple makes a major change I won’t be buying another mbp.
