Can I share a confession? I’m struggling to write right now. Not because I don’t have a million ideas. I do.

I have fragments of blog posts and LinkedIn posts across Google Docs, Evernote, and Medium.

Yesterday, I spent three hours on one of those pieces, feeling like I was stumbling down a pitch-black hallway trying to hammer some structure into the piece. But it refused to bend.

I finally closed the computer and retreated to the novel I’m currently reading.

The silly thing? I make a living as a writer.

I have multiple clients. I get paid for putting my fingers to keyboard and it’s allowed me to live a fantastic life by the beach in Mexico.

But client work is one thing.

My own thing is something else entirely. Maybe you can relate?

Is It Imposter Syndrome?

This is probably part of it. I’m over here second-guessing everything I type. Then, I look around and get frustrated. I know comparison-itis is a trap. I literally wrote a client piece about that last week.

Life is funny. Ha ha.

Also, I have no clarity about whatever my “own thing” could be right now. I’m kinda lost in my head, and everyone…
