The End of Leadership
umair haque

I’m in the middle of the MIT/Harvard ULab programme Transforming Business, Society & Self. The notion of new leadership has come up a lot from the perspective that the time of the ‘lone wolf’ leader is over — so no more Mandela, Martin Luther King, Gandhi — and that co-created, collective, organic leadership from the bottom up is the model of the future. Perhaps that is why we are seeing so many demagogues at the top. Society/the Universe is waiting for the shift for leadership to emerge from humanity as a whole, through radically new systems. Which I hope will not consider only the future of humanity, but an inter-connected view of all life on this blue island in the sky.

A single golf clap? Or a long standing ovation?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
