It is interesting to see the historical perspective of what might cause some of those groupings. In San Francisco Twitter employees changed the landscape of the Tenderloin district and in Santa Cruz the expansion of major tech companies in the Silicon Valley coupled by lack of housing is changing neighboring counties and the culture those areas are historically known for.
