Twenty something crisis

I posted the link to this post on my Facebook as well. My cousin had a good response and I thought I would share it

“ I’ll tell you those jobs exist even inside big companies. While I worked in software testing, I did some process design and stuff. Then I started doing more process design, and that project needed training materials, so learned how to design training. Then people had to give the training, so I became a trainer for a bit. Then my next project was that, plus more communication stuff. And I started doing video as a hobby because YouTube was pretty sweet, and I thought I might like that. Which is what I do a lot of now, and coaching folks.

I’d suggest focus on providing value, and you’ll get experience to find that thing, but you may never find it at all.

I’m 37 going on 38 this year and I still have yet to find “that one thing” that I want to do for the rest of my life, I probably never will.

I’m jealous sometimes of the folks who can focus on one thing and they know that thing so well and they get so much fulfillment from that. So I have to be happy in knowing people are happy and getting value from what I do for them.”
