Confidence and Courage

What did you struggle with today?

I struggled most with coming up with questions that I thought would lead to interesting answers. Immediately, I went to questions like what is your favorite thing and why, but they were all very person focused. I was concerned I wouldn’t be getting enough of the basic information about the store itself. Once I received critiques on my questions I realized I was on the right track all along. I just needed to go one step further and ask a follow up question.

How did you make progress?

In class today I was reminded of something I figured out while I was abroad in South Africa. Right now it seems like everything connects back to South Africa. While I was there I was forced to push my boundaries and get out of my comfort zone. As daunting as what I was doing always seemed, it was never as bad as I thought it would be. Today I was pretty nervous about approaching Emma behind the counter, but once I did it wasn’t bad at all. She was very nice and willing to answer all of my questions. It was a good reminder of what I already knew. I need to keep this in mind the next time I am in need of a little extra courage.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?
