In my first story about why I love writing on Medium.com, I left out some meaty stuff — not on purpose.

I must have written it late at night when I wanted to make some good points and move on.

I was thinking about trying out a series, so maybe this is my mini intro into that space.

Here are the reasons it makes sense for me to write on Medium.com, whether I have a big following or not.

My Online Library for Clients

I’m a mentor. I teach how to recognize signs that occur in your life that are meant to steer you toward your safest, most abundant outcome.

I also do intuitive readings using cards I created.

Both of these services support people who are going through changes or making important decisions.

As part of my service, I introduce many new concepts.

If I had to fully explain every concept from the beginning, I’d get weary and frankly it would waste my client’s time.

By writing about at least the basics of these topics, I can say, Go to Morning Oracle on Medium.com. I wrote a few stories about this topic there.

This will save time and allow the client to read it at their convenience.

Need to Know

When you offer a service, there’s certain things that potential partners or clients need to know about us. For example, I don’t want someone to see me use the word spiritual and think I mean religious.

So I wrote a story of how I am interpreting those words. I’ll always have that story to refer someone to. If I need to clarify further, I can always change my wording. It’s not news or a legal document. It’s my story.

Relating

We all have a rich history. We can’t put a lot on an About page and expect someone to read it all.

With personal and professional stories, I can let someone know more about me, my struggles and how I approach situations. This way, a reader can make a better decision about whether we’d be a good match to work together.

What If I Don’t Have A Lot of Followers on Medium or It Takes Awhile?

It doesn’t matter.

I meet people in many other places. When they go to my website and click BLOG, they land here on Morning Oracle. Someone could easily email one of my stories to a friend or share it to their social media.

Before I started writing on Medium, my husband was following another author here. He forwarded a story to me and I wound up buying a program from him.

If I get followers, that’s wonderful. But my fail-safe plan is to write to express myself, tell more about me, and give my clients or potential clients thorough information on many different topics.

It’s a container. These are my stories to do with what I want.

I can sort my stories into topics, put it in Scrivener and voila, I have a book.

What About Giving Too Much Information Away By Writing Daily?

That’s not a concern because I’m offering a high-touch, supportive service — mentorship. My personal support, experience and guidance is as important as the information.

I have no fear about giving too much away. My services are experiential. Reading alone isn’t the same.

Ability to Change My Approach

I’m writing daily to build a body of work.

If I don’t enjoy it anymore or need to spend less time writing, I can change my approach. Maybe I’ll write weekly after a few months.

I Feel Better Now

I was just thinking, gosh, I‘m really pouring it on here. Yet I’m glad I wrote this.

That’s another advantage of writing. I can look back and make fun of myself. Hey Jenna of a year ago, You sound so defensive.

I’m Jenna Atkinson, Intuitive Mentor. I experienced an awakening and was guided to learn and then teach about the signs of guidance we receive from nature and our environment.

The point of following signs? So you can make really good decisions vs really bad ones.

I teach with stories here on Morning Oracle, and with personal intuitive readings.
