I really enjoy just how sickeningly elastic these characters were. It really stretches (heh) the boundaries of just how rubbery you can make an animated character, and embraces the inevitable sense of disgust that comes with such extreme levels of body horror. I also appreciated the cat, which served as a short, rock-solid contrast to the son and the father.
However, at the end, I felt that the scene with the dad freaking out dragged on a bit long. It started getting repetitive; the gradual upwards curve of body horror started to level out, until each rendition was, albeit different, similar in the level of distortion they had.
