This year has been the hardest year of my life. I know people get uncomfortable when others talk about their problems, and frankly, I’m tired of talking about my problems too. For closure’s sake, I figured I’d write them down one final time as this week marks the anniversary of the first week of my wacky year.
I’d like to preface this article by saying that even though this has been the hardest year of my life, it could be so much worse. To say this year has simultaneously been both the worst and best year of my life is an understatement. I got my NASA Pathways internship, I was awarded the Brooke Owens Fellowship (the day I received the call was the best day of my entire year), I started mentoring one of the best FIRST robotics teams in the world, I met some amazing people, and I have the best support system I could ask for. …
