Enoch’s Dream
I awaken to dark of midnight. My eyes clear, and for the first time I see stars, and I am not alone.
Sitting elbow to elbow, with elders of lore, we mix a remedy to heal the broken world. We crush the light of ancient stars, scatter the dust over the surface of the earth.
“Change is coming,” they say, “Fear not destruction; dead skin flakes away, leaving all renewed.”
With Enoch in a wheel within a wheel, I ride the chariot into deep space, reaching for the fingertips of God. Together we pull closed the fractured light of the universe.
“Change is coming,” they say, “Fear not destruction; dead skin flakes away, leaving all renewed.”
I awaken at dawn of morning. My mind clears and for the first time, I’ve seen stars, and I am not alone. We are whole.
