Three decades after 12-year-old Jennifer Odom was abducted and murdered as she walked home from her bus stop, the case has finally been solved.

Florida State Attorney Bill Glass announced at a press conference on Thursday, July 27, 2023, that Jeffrey Norman Crum has been arrested and charged with murder, kidnapping, and sexual assault in Jennifer’s case.

I wrote about Jennifer’s case last year, you can read the full article here:

Jennifer was abducted on February 19, 1993 as she walked home from her bus stop in rural St. Joseph, Florida. Classmates saw a blue pickup truck following the bus that day, and there was speculation the driver might have been involved in Jennifer’s abduction. Her disappearance launched an extensive search effort which ended in heartbreak six days later, when Jennifer’s body was found near a horse trail in Hernando County.
