Hi Adam! Thanks for the comments. I find that the organizations that “put on a show” are checking a box. They are creating the appearance of change because maybe they think that’s what they are supposed to do. But it’s superficial and inauthentic. Really deep down they don’t want things to change.

Real, meaningful change is messy, laborious and often painful. It requires deep examination and recalibration — of the organization and of self. It’s hard labor and requires a great deal of time, empathy and emotional investment. Its not for the faint of heart.

One is easy and the other is challenging. I think that often people take the path of least resistance and that why it ends up being for show.
