As we hit our 20s and 30s I think it’s easy to become self obsessed and forget about helping others.

A great way we can help others in our community is through volunteering. Volunteering can be something that you do once a week, or once a year, but it is important that you do it. It makes you feel good about yourself, and you’re helping others.

Through a simple google search you can find a lot of volunteer opportunities near you, you can also use www.volunteermatch.org

If you still need another reason to go out and volunteer, it can help you get employed.

“The Corporation for National and Community Service, a federal agency that promotes volunteerism, tracked more than 70,000 jobless people between 2002 and 2012 and found that those who volunteered had a 27% better chance of finding a job than those who didn’t.”
