I Instructed AI To Create Love as an Art

And This Is How It Inspired Me

Lately, we keep seeing articles where different writers show the result of AI-generated works.

I’ve always been particularly inspired by the contributions of Jim Clyde Monge, who uses Dall-E2 AI for this purpose.

You should definitely check out his posts, they are seriously interesting!

Unfortunately, I don’t have access to Dall-E2 yet, so I made use of the free-to-use website Craiyon.

In May, Nancy Blackman asked what love looks like to us.

A wonderful topic!

But unfortunately, I can’t paint at all. 🏳️

But I always wanted to try one of these AI programs, so why not combine one with the other?

I chose the images mainly based on the following criteria:

🤍 Does the image speak to my innermost being and does it reflect my definition of love?
🤍 Does it fit into the overall picture of the collection in question?
🤍 Is the image aesthetically beautiful?

It took a while. Not every image was suitable and especially with faces, the AI had its problems.

But in the end, it was enough for a small collection.

Love in Oil Paintings

I love the warm colors and the peace that these pictures express.

I associate love especially when it comes to the family with a sense of comfort and security.

These pictures reproduce this feeling.

Love in Nature

created with Craiyon

Nature is something tangible and down-to-earth for me.

It helps me to love life and to remain true to who I am, not to lose myself in hopes or dreams — even though I like dreaming.

Love As Human Interaction

created with Craiyon

Whether it’s family, friends, or first crush — love is especially a feeling that we go through together with our fellow human beings.

I think the chibis are incredibly cute, so this was my visual choice.

Love in Spirituality

created with Craiyon

Whether the spiritual is defined as God or as divine energy in our universe shall remain irrelevant here.

In any case, it is a very private kind of love, which probably every person defines individually for themselves.

This story is my contribution to Nancy Blackman’s Call For Submissions in May 2022.
Yes, I’m a bit late to the party.
