I can’t find my accounts in Ledger Live

Are you unable to see your asset accounts in Ledger Live? If you have just updated the firmware of your Ledger device, you might need to reinstall the asset app or re-add the asset accounts manually.

This guide will help you find your missing accounts. There are several reasons why you are unable to see your accounts on Ledger Live and we will explain them all in detail.

To fix this

Please download the last update of Ledger Live Application:

  1. Ledger Live for Windows 10/11
  2. Ledger Live for MAC
  3. Ledger Live for Android

● Make sure that you are using the latest version of Ledger Live.

● Make sure that your Ledger device is running the latest firmware.

Here’s what to do

Solution 1: Restore your device using the recovery phrase

In the case that your Ledger device resets after updating your firmware and you set it up with a new 24-word recovery phrase, your old account will not be visible.

To fix this

● You’ll have to restore your device from your previous 24-word recovery phrase to view your accounts.

Solution 2: Re-add asset accounts

If you happen to have installed Ledger Live on a new device, you won’t be able to find your asset accounts until you re–add them in Ledger Live.

To do this

  1. Open the Ledger Live app
  1. On the left side of the screen, click on “Accounts or Portfolio” and “Add account”
  1. Click on the box to open up a drop-down list. Navigate to the crypto asset you want to add and click on it. (For instance, I choose Bitcoin)
  1. Once you have chosen a crypto asset to add, click on continue to proceed.
  1. Connect and unlock your Ledger device. Open the crypto app of the asset you selected at the beginning of the process and click on continue.

For instance, I choose to add a Bitcoin account. So I’ll now open the Bitcoin app on the Ledger device.

  1. Wait for the synchronization process to finish.
  1. Now, Ledger Live will look for your existing accounts in the blockchain and display them one by one. Click on the “add new account
  1. Now you’ve successfully re-added an account on Ledger Live.
  1. When you go back to the accounts menu, the add account will be visible with your missing asset and you can now manage it further from there.

You can follow this method to add other missing accounts in Ledger Live if you’ve any.
