I don’t think my comment (or the article) insinuated that this one crowdfunding campaign was going upend the entire wedding industry. But as someone who finds herself in a very similar position to the author — torn between my desire to celebrate with people I love & my own financial limitations — it’s amusing to me to see someone bring a little levity to the situation.

I’m sure the people who donate to her campaign appreciate you being so offended on their behalf, though.
