This drives me NUTS. I have an Echo Dot & have the news snippets feature activated. One of the snippets is from Slate, & at the beginning of the 90 second segment there is a quick advertisement for a podcast. It would say “Want to hear more? Just say, “Alexa, activate the XYZ podcast” or something. Which OBVIOUSLY triggered Alexa in a meta sort of way — as she’s playing my request, she is requested for something else by my initial request.

It’s all very inception & I finally reached out to the Slate employee on Twitter to tell him about it, & he was surprised that was happening. Sigh.
