…each side believes they’re battling evil. In every war, each side believes their purpose is divine. In every war somebody wins, and it’s rarely the warriors. The only thing that they take home in the end are their lives.
…t could be my unending dedication to nuance. It may be perpetual doubt in anything black and white. Maybe I just don’t trust the motives of political righteousness. I always struggle to rally for anybody’s war.
