You’re right. This one tactic will weed out the outstanding candidates from the average ones. This will also give you an indication of the what type of people you’re interviewing. People who take the time to really invest in the application process will follow through on your request. While the others, people who are “just looking for a job” will move on to the next interview. They won’t even consider asking someone else to vouch for them. Thanks for the great article. I’m in the hiring process and I really needed your advice!
