Sorry for any confusion

I got this from a well-meaning PR person. I realize I’m not very bright, but I found this incomprehensible:

“On behalf of (Brand X), we’d like to extend an invite for you to join us in an interactive journey steeped in curiosity and innovation, as we officially launch the newest expression from (Brand X)..”

How nice! Only I seriously have no idea what they are talking abut.

My response:

“I’ll be honest, I could not make heads or tails of your press release. ‘An interactive journey steeped in curiosity and innovation.’ Huh?”

Their response:

“Apologies if my initial note lacked clarity. To celebrate the unveiling of an innovative new expression — which is unlike anything (Brand X) has done in the past — we’ll be featuring elaborate cuisine, music and art at the event, which is why we identified as such. If you are free, we’d love to have you come experience these elements and try the new expression.”

Me:

“‘Expression?’ as in a turn of phrase? I’m seriously just trying to be helpful here. Try just saying what you mean.”

The final word:

“Sorry for any confusion. The new expression, in this case, is referencing product. I should’ve clarified as new products are referred as expressions.”

Oh.
