Maybe the man was a Capricorn, but his story was so much more.

Birth of Jesus & Taurus

Background of Taurus: Taurus is known in astrology as a fixed earth sign. Those born between April 20th and May 20th are considered to be Taurus. (I’m not suggesting Jesus is a Taurus, only that his birth has some Taurus-like qualities to it.) Taurus is considered ‘fixed’ because it is associated with the season of Spring at its height. The season of Spring is considered ‘fixed in place’ during the time of Taurus.

Taurus is associated with raw beauty (Mother Nature) and material wealth (Abundance). The psychological manifestation of Taurus at its most evolved level is the feeling of stability through knowing worth and value.

Mother Nature: Jesus was born in a stable surrounded by raw, humble beauty. The “cattle lowing,” the crib made out of a feeding trough (sidenote: Taurus is also associated with food), and domesticated animals: cows, sheep, donkeys. Taurus is literally the symbol of a bull.

Abundance: Three wise men each give Jesus a gift. Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh. Gold symbolically stands for both material wealth and wisdom (wealth of knowledge). Frankincense indicates the connection between Jesus and the Divine. Myrrh is connected to the afterlife of Jesus. Myrrh, used as an embalming oil, has two symbols: The mortality of Jesus AND the preservation of his teachings.

The Worth and Value of Jesus

Jesus was born toward the beginning of the Kali Yuga, an era of time in vedic astrology known for darkness and conflict. (we are actually still in the Kali Yuga. That’s definitely a whole other article)

The Star of Bethlehem is not actually one star but two planets who appeared to be one, bright star in the sky. These planets were Saturn and Jupiter and they formed a conjunction in the sign of Pisces.

So we have the energy of Pisces wanting to express itself during a time of darkness and conflict. The value and worth of Jesus is clear: He will/was/is a light in the dark, bringing messages of unconditional love and kindness to humanity (Pisces).

Until next time.

Blessings,
