I just had a similar experience with Bryant Norwicki myself. In my case, I requested final closing costs 3 days before my closing (was supposed to be tomorrow) and received back an entirely new disclosure with a loan that was now 10k higher and included 3 points in the closing costs (the original disclosure had none). When I questioned the changes and points, Mr. Norwicki became unavailable and ended up telling me I had no choice. I pressed the matter, explaining that my original disclosure was a legally binding contract and if they weren’t going to honor it I would be contacting a lawyer. Eighteen minutes later, my original guy, named Josh Harness (amazingly helpful guy) called me back and everything was fine. I have submitted everything they needed. Mr. Norwicki himself called this afternoon to confirm an August 31st closing date. I’m going to be holding me breath until I actually close. It’s too late for me to find a new lender now without losing this house, which I love. But I promise this, I will refinance asap to get away from Quicken.
