Solution based thinking model is a win-win for everyone. I often tell my staff; we have x amount of resources to take care of x amount of patients. How can we work together to make it through the next 12 hours? Using this approach I get a lot more buy in and ideas, plus a willingness to “flex” their position. It fosters team work and creativity.
