What You Need To Become A Data Scientist
Everywhere you look, you will find a varying definition of what Data Science is. However, In simple terms, I would like to describe it as a way to provide answers to question using data.
Data Science is an interdisciplinary field. What this means is that Data Science requires more than one branch of knowledge. As a Data Scientist, you will be required to have multiple skills which cut across different domain. Expertise in just one thing (e.g. coding) is simply insufficient. For instance, You may know how to code but if you have no knowledge of machine learning algorithms, you cannot adequately analyse data in a way that is expected of a Data Scientist
Becoming a data scientist takes years of experience and training. Irrespective of what school you go or what program you attend and how good any of these are, consistent practice and self-study are essential. I guess this goes for most fields anyway.
