Sending good vibes and strong mental health to you and your family as you embark on this next phase.

My grandmother died a year ago from complications from Alzheimer’s and I was lucky/unlucky enough to be with her in the very last days of her life. It was upsetting, horrifying and humbling to see her in that position. She lived to be 90 and 10 years with her diagnosis, which is all I can hope for and more and yet, it was so HARD to watch.

But in the end, I’m glad I was there to hold her hand and look into her eyes, even if I don’t know whether she knew who I was anymore.
