My Favorite “Rescue 911” Story Titles

Or maybe they’re just 90's alternative bands that never quite “hit it big.”

Rescue 911 was a very important part of my childhood. It made me afraid of everything and everyone. The only thing that could bring me down from the high of an episode was watching Unsolved Mysteries right after.

Each episode of the show had multiple stories, all allegedly true and reenacted for our entertainment. Sometimes people died, but usually it was just babies choking on coins and falling out of windows, or people going whitewater rafting and getting trapped in caves. Oh, and it was hosted by William Shatner.

The following are my favorite story titles from the series, courtesy of whoever listed all of these on Wikipedia aka my future lover:

  • Mallard Madness (Season 2, Episode 20)
  • Rollerblade Rescue (Season 5, Episode 21)
  • Daughter in a Tree (Season 3, Episode 21)
  • 5-Year-Old Saves Mom (Season 3, Episode 13)
  • Log Pinned Baby (Season 3, Episode 4)
  • Wolf Baby (Season 2, Episode 28)
  • Horseback Havoc (Season 2, Episode 16)
  • Psychic Cop (Season 2, Episode 11)
  • Hotdog Heimlich (Season 2, Episode 7)
  • Girls Lost in Mountains (Season 1, Episode 11)
  • Helicopter Horse (Season 4, Episode 13)
  • Bubba Saves Chewy (Season 4, Episode 14)
  • Potty Peril (Season 4, Episode 16)
  • Hedge Trimmer Electrocution (Season 4, Episode 20)
  • Nail Gun Heart (Season 4, Episode 22)
  • Mom Sleeping Like a Pig (Season 6, Episode 10)
  • Applebee’s Hostage Crisis (Season 5, Episode 3)
  • Riding Mower Mayhem (Season 6, Episode 23)
  • Collapsed School Bus Driver II (Season 7, Episode 15)

Honorable mention goes to Freezer Tongue (Season 3, Episode 11) because it was my all-time favorite episode of the entire series, the shining star of all great reenacted reality television.
