Here are some steps to create a website:

• To get a domain name (like “example.com”), we need to buy it from a domain registrar. For example, you can go to https://namecheap.com and search for a domain. If the domain isn’t taken yet, you can see how much it costs.
• When you find a domain you want, create an account.
• Next, we need a “server.” A server is a computer that is always connected to the internet. You store your website on the server. When someone types your domain name into their web browser, their web browser will download your website from the server. You can rent a virtual server from https://digitalocean.com for $5 per month.
• Set up the server. It will have an IP address like “104.89.49.11”.
• Give control of the domain you bought to digital ocean. In namecheap.com, go to “Name Servers,” then enter in the IP addresses from digitalocean.com.
• Back in digitalocean.com, create an “A” record (“A” records are for domain names).
