Not enough time is such a common excuse. I know this is a favorite excuse of mine, but the funny thing is when I have time off from work I still don’t study the way I should. At the end of the day excuses are exactly that, they are excuses. There is nothing that can stop me from doing what I need to do. The only thing in my way is myself.
In my case with language learning, it is quite easy to incorporate throughout my day. Through listening to music and podcasts in Korean as I drive, to reading the articles I am learning from when I have a little down time. It is all about finding time to do the task.
Another thing I like to do as well with this is to do it first thing in the morning. That way I have less excuses than I do later in the day. It is quite interesting to me how we all want to accomplish certain things, but we never do what we need to do. I have been told time and time again that maybe I am not interested, but I obviously am when I have been wanting to learn this language for so long.
It is up to me whether I make progress or not on this journey. I am really here to show you how tough this can be and how easy it can be. I like to say this a lot and believe it to the fullest. No matter how long it takes, if I do something every day, eventually I will learn. All I can do is find the time and stop making excuses.
