Inclass assignment(Peter Schwartz Crit)

Peter Schwartz mentioned that it is very hard to change our mental maps. But it is crucial and needed if we want to ask the right questions. He also mentioned that success today or in the past does not always work in the future scenario. We also have to prepare for the disaster, not just about “good” futures, with the narratives that can be connected to the present. The future should not be about impossible and random technology.

The mental map that I had was the I assumed people will be responsible of conserving energy and will respect the system. Also, I assumed that rich will survive. However, I was too focused on the technology side of view. I had to realize that humans do not work this way.
