It’s like the band Therapy sang… ‘happy people have no story’. :)
Or Captain Kirk in the Star Trek movie, where they ‘find God’ who can release every person from it’s pain and make everybody happy…. Kirk respons is ‘I don’t need to be release from my pain, I need my pain!’

Most movies, are not about happy people… why? Because it would be boring to watch.
Music, best music is written in pain, or about a struggle… best songs are about broken love…
Art… most is not made while being ‘happy’… most is done in a struggle, struggle of the artists life.
About Facebook… mwah.. I don’t hate it to much, seeing all the ‘happy’ holiday photo’s… it also works the other way around sometimes, you are sitting in the office, doing boring work… seeing all the beautifull things on facebook, reminds you of that there is another world out there, other then that boring office where you work at. That can you make depressed, but… also can give a ‘boost’ thinking that that office isn’t the whole world…

Besides that, facebook offers you one great feature… you can come into contact with friends, from the past … whom you otherwise never would have been seeing again (same with sites like LinkedIn)… it’s the ideal ‘address notebook’ :)

And… it’s like with all things in the world, it’s what you make of it, and how you interpret it. If you get depressed by Facebook, you probably get depressed by seeing the neighbourgh with a bigger car, prettier woman, whatever…
