Where Does ‘420’ Come From, Anyways?
Kevin Jackson

Do not know where Huff Post gets their info. But I was there on, yes, (4–20–1972) when the first doobie days festival was held, tens of thousands came and smoked, yes, doobies in protest of California’s draconian pot laws. a few people got arrested at first but once the numbers began to climb there were just to many smokers, way more than there were cops. THAT is when 4–20 became a thing. not some high school kids hanging out. Huff Post should really check out there stories a little better. I know it is not of National importance however it is the true starting point of 4–20.
