Let’s for a moment stipulate that everything you say about destabilizing the world is absolutely true. Given the incompetence and/or malfeasance of the United States in the past when handling international affairs that you claim, do you really think it’s a good idea to give them the responsibility for cleaning up the mess, or would it be better if they just took a time-out for a while?

So yeah, if my kid crashes the car, do I really expect to put him in charge of getting it fixed, or do I ground him?
