Yes, I can. And frankly, the censorship of the Nazi regime in Germany is shameful precisely because by hiding their sins, they absolve themselves from guilt for their past crimes.

Worst of all, despite the censorship, neo-Nazis and crypto-Nazis still exist in Germany. If you could have made the case that removing the symbolism and discussion of Nazi Germany from the public square would have eliminated Nazis entirely, then perhaps you might have some accomplishment to show for the censorship — but it’s just not there.

I can’t say how many generations are necessary before Germany to atone for the sins of their past (maybe if they had hosted the Jewish State in Berlin instead of Palestine, they would have had stronger moral ground to stand on), but the fact that they have hidden the sins of their past means that they cannot learn from them as efficiently as possible.
