Is the NFL in a death spiral?

Thanks for the article. For me it’s a question of access. As a cord-cutter, I can only get live games that are broadcast. With all the blackout and exclusive deals this severely limits the games I can watch. I’d happily pay for something like a digital only version of Sunday Ticket but I’m simply not signing up for DirectTV as well because I don’t need or want it.

When HBO ended their exclusive deals with the cable companies and offered HBO Now direct to consumers it was a huge boost. NFL needs to realize that exclusive deals are excluding fans like me who are tired of the cable company monopolies and refuse to play ball anymore.
