Everyone wants to be successful until it’s time to do the work.
How many people roll around this planet telling others about all the cool shit they're ABOUT to do?
We all know someone who is going to invest in bitcoin, ask out the girl, start the business, apply to shark tank, leave their job, or change the world.
The problem here of course is that these people are all talk. There's no action. You cannot speak AND act at the same time. They are mutually exclusive.
But it's not all doom and gloom, mi hombres. You see, we're dreamers. We are one of the only living creatures on this planet who can visualize the future and then go out there and make it happen. And dreaming comes at a cost. The more you dream, the less you do. Who knows how many geniuses are out there staring off into space visualizing something mind-blowing?
Ideas matter. But execution matters more. The future belongs to the tinkerers.
Every word spent telling someone what you're going to do in the future is one less moment you have to actually go out and do that thing in the present.
Add that up over a lifetime and you get a lot of wasted moments. This is the dreamers paradox. Dream just enough to come up with the idea, but not a moment longer. A lifetime of dreaming represents infinite loss.
Dream big, mi amigos.
Just don't tell anyone about it.
Go out there and do it.
