Exactly. This (like the logo redesign) is a perfect example of “fixing” (breaking) something that wasn’t broken. Epic fail Medium. Epic fail. What user feedback led you to this decision? I’m going to hazard a guess there wasn’t any. This feels like high ranking executive swoop and poop for the very reasons cited in this article.
There are so many opportunities to solve real user jobs to be done that this just feels like meddling for the sake of meddling.
