As a business exec, I agree with: identify the components necessary to achieve the goal (but don’t over-plan); do the job really well by focusing on execution, not competition; and chill out dude — enjoy the work! None of us likes learning something is beyond our personal control, but most outcomes are.
That said, we do have to think about and define goals / dreams / targeted outcomes. We very rarely start the auto ignition without some idea of where we’re going! Your point is, if we’re getting in the car, the destination probably isn’t already in our line of vision. Take it one street at a time — and pay attention to the road!
