It’s important to note that Europe has a long history with the mixology in the US.

For example, New Orleans became one of the most creative place in the world for mixology back in the 19th century. Many cocktails created over there came straight from some French bottles: Cognac, absinthe, DOM Benedictine liqueur, Peychaud bitters, etc. The “Big Easy” offered over a century classic drinks such as Sazerac, Brandy Crusta, Cocktail à la Louisiane or Vieux Carré (to name a few).

Anyway, thanks for this nice story! I wouldn’t be surprised to see Negronis to be the next “It” drink in a few summers.
