The 25th anniversary redux of Roy Orbison’s landmark final album, ‘Mystery Girl’

The way is love: Between December 2 and 3, 1988, when this photo was captured, Roy Orbison unleashed two well-attended shows at the now-defunct Channel nightclub in Boston, Massachusetts. Within three days the trembling “Oh, Pretty Woman” rocker would succumb to a heart attack while resting with family at his Hendersonville, Tennessee, home shortly before departing again on a much deserved comeback tour leading up to the imminent release of the “Mystery Girl” album.
