Fairytale Prisoner by Choice: The Photographic Eye of Melania Trump
Kate Imbach

A lot of people have very negative things to say about this, but I really liked this story! But I also see something maybe a little different here. I find her pictures somewhat relatable. I don’t take a lot of selfies because I don’t like how I look in pictures. I obscure my face a lot. Or cut it in half. It’s a self-esteem thing. She’s a gold plated person living in a gold plated world and was made to look a certain kind of beautiful and potentially she doesn’t like that. She’d rather people see everything else around her rather than herself. It’s heartbreaking and yet understandable and relatable. That’s not to defend her actions. But I think there’s even more to the story and deeper things as well.
