Silhouettes

The lyrics here are so poignant and soulful, the lyricist has to have experienced this situation to be able to pen such a woeful ballad. I know that I cried when I read it because I, too, remember way back to a day and time when I fell in love, only to watch as it dissolved and escaped my grasp. Yet the memories linger forever in my mind and the sihouette of my lost beloved comes unbidden into my heart, mind, and soul. Nothing is ever a substitute for that long, lost flame.
