The following 2 personas are created based on the insights from the 2 qualitative interviews and survey results.

PRIMARY TARGET AUDIENCE

Jaslyn just started familiarizing herself with perfumes, as she is very used to using perfumes that are gifted to her. Even though she knows what kind of mood and scent she likes, she does not have much knowledge of the specific ingredients that she enjoys.

SECONDARY TARGET AUDIENCE

Natalie is always kept up-to-date with the latest launches because of the nature of her work. If she chanced upon any new scent through the launches, she will head down to the store to purchase it. However, she likes to stick to the same repertoire of scent family as it uplifts her mood.

Just a recap, the main objective of this project is to “ease the process of picking a scent for consumers”.

Hence, Jaslyn is picked as the primary target audience as she provides more opportunities for me to resolve her pain points and also the survey highlighted the fact that most are conflicted by choices and lack of knowledge.
