Interesting article. The well-written argumentation certainly made me think harder about the subject. I’m also inclined to think that it won’t happen in the next thirty years. Especially you final closing question: “could I report to a robot CEO” could be an issue for many people. Although the acceptance of self-driving cars is rising fast it seems, which I also thought would be difficult.
However, I do think that robots can have emotions in the far future and even have a limbic system if we would want that. Although I would put this on a timeline for over several ages, there are no theoretical limits I’m aware of that could prevent this from happening.
